L. Linkevičius gets invited to Ukraine Reform Conference in Toronto
On 20 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi and Beth Richardson, Head of Office of the Canadian Embassy in Vilnius, who invited the Foreign Minister to the third Ukraine Reform Conference on 2-4 July in Toronto, Canada.
"Despite Russia's aggression against the country, Ukraine has achieved impressive results in implementing complex internal reforms. The Ukraine Reform Conference in Toronto will focus on further Western support for Ukraine, which is very important for the country‘s progress and its success story,” said L. Linkevičius.
The Foreign Minister congratulated Ukraine and its people on the inauguration of the newly elected president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. L. Linkevičius also discussed efforts by Lithuania and Canada to support reforms in Ukraine.
In 2017, the first Ukraine Reform Conference was held in London. In 2018, the conference took place in Copenhagen.
